Day 1
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up, and your safari will commence. You will drive from Moshi to Tarangire National Park. This takes approximately 3 hours. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You will enjoy a daylong of game viewing, with a picnic lunch looking out over the river to break up the time in the car. After a nice game drive before it gets dark, you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti is one of the biggest parks in the country. The vast open spaces of the plains provide an impressive feeling of freedom. You will drive along Lake Natron, the heart of the Massailand before reaching the Serengeti gate. This semi-arid environment attracts many waterbirds and is an important site of breeding and nesting for the lesser flamingo. Upon your arrival in the Serengeti, you will do your first game drive while heading to your accommodation.
Day 3
Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro Highland
This morning you will continue with your game drives in the Serengeti. At noon, you will leave for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As soon as you reach the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will see the giant caldera below—which makes for a breathtaking view.
Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a once-in-a-lifetime safari tour. The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown, this thick volcanic crater is the most significant unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. Upon descending to the crater floor, you will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater, which is one of the
crater’s leading features.
Day 5
Lake Manyara -Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of water birds. Particularly impressive are the pink-colored flamingos, but many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans, and storks can also be found here. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions. During the safari, you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and many other animal species.
