Day By Day
Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire
- Flight Details: You'll depart from Zanzibar Airport at 11:30 AM and arrive at Arusha Airport by 12:30 PM.
- Transfer to Tarangire National Park: Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll be greeted by you guide driver, who will take you directly to Tarangire National Park. The drive offers scenic views of Tanzania's countryside.
- Tarangire National Park: This park is often overshadowed by Serengeti and Ngorongoro but is a hidden gem. Known for its dense population of elephants, Tarangire also boasts iconic baobab trees, which are sometimes called "upside-down trees" due to their unusual appearance. Other wildlife includes baboons, buffalo, lions, impala, giraffes, and zebras.
- Accommodation: You’ll stay at Ang'ata Tarangire Camp, a luxury tented camp located within the park. The camp offers a unique blend of comfort and proximity to nature, with well-appointed tents and excellent service. You'll enjoy a full board service, including all meals and drinks (except for spirits/liquor).
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
- Early Breakfast: Start your day with an early breakfast to make the most of your travel and exploration time.
- Drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area: The drive takes you through the lush rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You might see wildlife like buffalo, baboons, and elephants along the way.
- Oldupai Gorge: Known as the "Cradle of Mankind," Oldupai Gorge is one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the early human fossils discovered in the area.
- Masai Boma Visit: Experience Masai culture firsthand by visiting an authentic Masai village. Witness traditional dance, explore the village, and shop for unique souvenirs crafted by the local community.
- Arrival in Serengeti: After a picnic lunch, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, home to the Great Migration and an array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and wildebeest.
- Accommodation: You’ll stay at Ang'ata Serengeti Camp, a luxury tented camp located in Central Serengeti. The camp provides an immersive experience in the heart of the Serengeti, with all meals and drinks (excluding spirits/liquor) included.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
- Sunrise Game Drive: Start your day with a sunrise game drive, one of the most magical experiences in the Serengeti. The early morning light creates perfect conditions for photography, and the animals are most active during this time.
- Full Day in Serengeti: After returning to the camp for a late breakfast, you’ll spend the rest of the day exploring the Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, your guide will take you to the best spots to witness the Great Migration or other wildlife spectacles.
- Accommodation: Overnight at Ang'ata Serengeti Camp, where you'll enjoy another night surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
- Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater: After breakfast, you’ll journey back towards the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The crater is a massive, unbroken caldera that hosts a diverse array of wildlife.
- Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive: Known as one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), the Ngorongoro Crater also offers opportunities to see flamingos, hippos, and countless other species in their natural habitat.
- Accommodation: You’ll stay at Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp, located on the rim of the crater. This camp provides breathtaking views and a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. All meals and drinks (excluding spirits/liquor) are included.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara – Zanzibar
- Lake Manyara National Park: Your final day of safari takes you to Lake Manyara, a park famous for its tree-climbing lions and rich birdlife. The park's diverse ecosystems make it a great spot for photographers, with the opportunity to capture everything from large mammals to vibrant bird species.
- Lunch and Departure: After a morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Zanzibar. Your flight departs Arusha at 4:35 PM and arrives in Zanzibar at 5:35 PM.
- End of Tour: The tour concludes with your arrival in Zanzibar, where you can continue to enjoy the beautiful beaches or explore more of the island.
