Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today, our safari adventure begins! After breakfast, a representative from Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds and abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the African continent). From the open roof of the vehicle, we will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River, which is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs and elephants. The picnic site has a spectacular view! We will have our picnic lunch there and proceed with game viewing before continuing to the campsite inside the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park to Mto wa Mbu (Cultural Tourism)

Wake up early in the morning for a sunrise game drive. After breakfast, we will continue our game drive in Tarangire before departing for Mto wa Mbu to have lunch and participate in cultural tourism. The afternoon will focus on visiting the local tribes, banana farms, rice plantations, artworks, forests and waterfalls of the area. You can choose to have a walking or bike tour. Dinner and overnight will be at Fig Tree Lodge.

Day 3

Mto wa Mbu to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, we will depart for Serengeti. A long, bumpy road will ensure you have about 4 to 5 hours of fascinating game viewing en route, driving up the crater highlands towards the vast plains of Serengeti. We will stop for a picnic lunch at the Serengeti, Naabi Hill Gate before we check into the park for an afternoon game drive. After catching the sunset, we will proceed to Seronera campsite (Tumbili) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park

Today, we will spend the whole day in the park. We head out and start to explore at sunrise, then return to the campsite for breakfast, pack our lunch and then go for a full day game drive exploring the beautiful scenery of Serengeti, searching for the Big Five. There is more to Serengeti than large mammals; more than 500 bird species have been recorded, ranging from the oversized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the savannah. We will continue to search for Serengeti's wildlife and return to the campsite at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Highlands

Today, we will leave the campsite early in the morning (around 6:00am) for a sunrise game drive and to spot the animals when they are most active. We will then stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast in the bush. We will continue with the game drive before returning to the camp (around noon) for a hot lunch, loading the vehicle, departing the camp and continuing to Ngorongoro, where we will have dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

Today, we will get in the safari vehicle at 6:00am and descend the crater with our packed breakfast. This stunning place will offer you almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino, and if we are lucky, we might spot one. Measuring an area of 260 square kilometres (100 square miles) and extending about 20 kilometres (12 miles) in diameter, we will need probably 5 to 6 hours to explore it. We will ascend the crater and return to the campsite for your last meal with us and drive back to Arusha. We expect to be back in town around 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
