Day 1: Lemosho Gate (2,385m) to Big Tree Camp (2,780m)
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at around 09:30 AM and transfer you to the Lemosho Gate on the western side of Kilimanjaro. Following the registration process, we will begin our steady ascent through the lush forests of the Lemosho Glades, eventually reaching Big Tree Camp where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Big Tree Camp (2,780m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,900m)
Today’s trek takes you across the Shira Plateau, a stunning expanse of grassy moorland and heather interspersed with volcanic rock formations. We will pass through Shira 1 Camp, where you may catch glimpses of Kibo Peak emerging from the clouds. The terrain includes some steep sections as we ascend towards Shira 2 Camp. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to view the Northern Ice Fields from the western side of the mountain and enjoy unique perspectives of Kibo. This steady climb across the Shira Plateau not only aids in acclimatization but also offers spectacular panoramic views.

**Day 3: Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) to Barranco Camp (3,960m)**
Today’s trek begins with a steady ascent, offering expansive panoramic views as we enter the upland desert zone and traverse the lava ridges beneath the glaciers of the Western Breach. We will reach the prominent Lava Tower (4,640m), our highest point for the day, where you can enjoy a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll descend steeply into the Great Barranco Valley, where our camp is situated at the base of towering cliffs. From here, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding plains.

Day 4: Barranco Camp (3,960m) to Karanga Camp (3,963m)
Our day begins with a descent into the Great Barranco, a vast ravine. We then face a challenging ascent up the Great Barranco Wall, a long but non-technical climb that separates us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo. As we pass beneath the Heim and Kersten glaciers, we make our way towards the Karanga Valley. From the valley, we will undertake a steep climb to reach Karanga Camp, situated at 3,963m. For those feeling up to it, there will be an optional acclimatization trek in the afternoon to around 4,200m before returning to camp for the night.

Day 5: Karanga Camp (3,963m) to Barafu Camp (4,640m)
After a restful night and breakfast, we embark on our trek to Barafu Camp at 4,640m. This climb will take us across desolate scree slopes with no vegetation, presenting a steep and challenging ascent exacerbated by the altitude. It’s crucial to stay hydrated and warm throughout the day. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, we’ll enjoy an early dinner and rest in preparation for the summit climb. We’ll aim to sleep briefly before starting our ascent to the summit between 11 PM and midnight.

**Day 6: Barafu Camp (4,640m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) & Descend to Millennium Camp (3,790m)**
We start our ascent around midnight, walking steeply towards the summit glaciers. The climb involves navigating scree for 4 to 5 hours, allowing us to gain significant altitude quickly. As we reach the crater rim at Stella Point (5,739m), we’ll be greeted by the first light of dawn, with stunning views of the ice cliffs within the crater and the jagged Mawenzi Peak. Continuing for another hour, we will reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After celebrating at the summit, we descend back to Stella Point and then make our way down the scree slopes to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved breakfast. From Barafu, we will continue our descent to Millennium Camp (3,790m) for a long, restful night.

**Day 7: Trek from Millennium Camp (3,790m) to Mweka Gate (1,630m)**
Today, we embark on a gentle trek descending through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. At the gate, we’ll complete the park formalities and receive your well-earned summit certificates, a proud memento of your achievement! Afterward, our vehicles will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Moshi. There, you can enjoy a hot shower and relax, celebrating the end of your incredible journey.
