Our experienced guides will expertly lead you to Africa’s highest peak, ensuring a memorable and successful ascent. Let us help you achieve this once-in-a-lifetime goal!

DAY 1: MACHAME GATE (1790M) TO MACHAME CAMP (3010M)

After an hour's drive from Moshi to Machame Gate, we'll complete the necessary park formalities and introduce you to our team of porters. The adventure begins as we start the climb!

The first section of the route ascends steadily through a stunning, dense rainforest. This less-traveled path can be overgrown in places and is often wet and muddy, adding to the authentic wilderness experience.

- **Distance Covered:** 10.8 km / 6.7 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 6 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

DAY 2: MACHAME CAMP (3010M) TO SHIRA CAMP (3845M)

Today’s trek takes us out of the forest and onto the Shira Plateau. We start with a gentle ascent through the remaining forest before reaching a steep climb that leads us onto the plateau. Here, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and, in the distance, Mount Meru rising above Arusha town.

- **Distance Covered:** 5.4 km / 3.4 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 5 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

DAY 3: SHIRA CAMP (3845M) TO BARRANCO CAMP (3960M)

Today's trek takes us across the high moorland, significantly altering the landscape and offering a new perspective on the climb. We traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing beneath the imposing Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach before reaching Barranco Camp.

Although we ascend up to 4600 meters during the day, we adhere to the mountaineering principle of "walk high, sleep low" to help with acclimatization and reduce the risk of altitude sickness.

- **Distance Covered:** 10.8 km / 6.7 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 8 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

DAY 4: BARRANCO CAMP (3960M) TO KARANGA CAMP (3963M)

Today’s trek begins with a descent into the Great Barranco, a vast ravine. We then tackle the challenging ascent up the Great Barranco Wall, a non-technical but demanding climb that separates us from the southeastern slopes of Kibo.

Passing beneath the impressive Heim and Kersten glaciers, we make our way towards the Karanga Valley. From the valley, a steep climb brings us to Karanga Camp, situated at 3963 meters.

For those feeling up to it, we will undertake a mid-afternoon acclimatization trek up to around 4200 meters before returning to camp for the night.

- **Distance Covered:** 5.5 km / 3.4 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 5 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

DAY 5: KARANGA CAMP (3963M) TO BARAFU CAMP (4640M)

After a restful night and a hearty breakfast, we set off for Barafu Camp, located at 4640 meters. The trek takes us across barren scree slopes with no vegetation, presenting a challenging ascent made more demanding by the altitude.

Upon reaching Barafu Camp, we'll have a meal and spend the afternoon resting to prepare for the demanding climb ahead. Staying hydrated and warm is crucial. We will have an early dinner and aim to rest as much as possible before beginning our ascent to the summit, which will start between 11 PM and midnight.

- **Distance Covered:** 3 km / 1.9 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 3 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

DAY 6: BARAFU CAMP (4640M) TO UHURU PEAK (5895M) & DESCENT TO MILLENNIUM CAMP (3790M)

Our day begins around midnight as we start the steep ascent toward the summit glaciers. The climb involves navigating scree slopes for 4 to 5 hours, gaining significant altitude over a relatively short distance. The early morning views are spectacular as we approach the crater rim at Stella Point (5739m) just as the first light of dawn illuminates the landscape. You'll be surrounded by stunning ice cliffs within the crater, with breathtaking views of the jagged Mawenzi Peak and beyond.

From Stella Point, it’s an additional hour to reach the summit, Uhuru Peak (5895m). After celebrating our achievement, we descend by retracing our steps back to Stella Point, then continue down the scree slope to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved breakfast. We conclude the day by descending further to Millennium Camp for a long, restful night.

- **Distance Covered:** 13.4 km / 8.3 mi

- **Approximate Time:** 12 – 15 hours

- **Meals Included:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

**DAY 7: MILLENNIUM CAMP (3790M) TO MWEKA GATE (1630M)**

We begin the day with a gentle descent through the lush rainforest, heading towards Mweka Gate. Upon arrival, we'll complete the park formalities and receive your well-earned summit certificates—perfect for displaying with pride!

Our vehicles will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in Moshi, where you can indulge in a refreshing hot shower and relax after your incredible journey.
