Day 1
Arrival - Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania's Northern circuit and to Arusha, the “Geneva of Africa”. Your safari adventure begins in Arusha on the Northern circuit safari getaway. When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by an Ozon Light Tours Safari guide. You will board a vehicle and drive to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay. On arrival, check into the accommodation in time for a shower and an African meal.
After dinner, you will retire to your room for some rest and relaxation, giving you the opportunity to discover how incredible it is to spend a night in Africa.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park
Your budget safari in Tanzania itinerary begins with breakfast at Karibu Heritage Lodge. Before traveling to Tarangire National Park, your safari specialist will meet you for a briefing. If you see something interesting and want to learn more about it, feel free to stop the vehicle for learning and discovery.
When you get to the park, you will start your game drive. Tarangire's natural splendor is breathtaking, with long-lived baobab trees dotting the landscape. Tarangire is home to large herds of elephant, as well as zebra, antelope, and lion. During the dry season, which lasts from June to October, a wildlife drive along the Tarangire River is very rewarding. After a successful day filled with wonderful memories, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we're off to Serengeti! It's a bit of a bumpy 4 to 5-hour ride, but keep your eyes peeled for amazing wildlife along the way. You'll go up through the crater highlands and into the vast Serengeti plains. We'll have a picnic lunch and then head into the park for an afternoon safari. After watching the sunset, it's time for dinner and a cozy night at the Seronera Campsite.
Day 4
Serengeti National Park
Today, we'll be in the park all day! Our adventure begins at sunrise. We'll embark on a full-day game drive, taking in the stunning Serengeti scenery and keeping our eyes peeled for the incredible Big Five animals. After a hot lunch at the campsite, we'll head out again for an afternoon game drive.
Serengeti is not just about the big animals, the park also boasts over 500 bird species, from giant ostriches to the majestic black eagles soaring above. We'll keep searching for wildlife until sunset, then return to camp for a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep.
Day 5
Serengeti National Park
Today, we'll rise early at 6:00 am to catch the animals on the sunrise game drive when they are most active. Afterward, we'll pause at a scenic picnic spot for a delightful bush breakfast before resuming our wildlife exploration. Around noon, we'll return to camp for a satisfying hot lunch. We'll then pack up and leave for Ngorongoro where we'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at the comfortable Simba Campsite.
Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
Today, we'll start with an early breakfast before making our way down to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This remarkable location is home to nearly every East African wildlife species, including the elusive black rhino which we may be fortunate enough to glimpse. You'll have the choice of a picnic lunch by the Hippo Lake or a hot lunch back at camp.
We'll then proceed to our next lodging, Fig Tree Lodge, where you can unwind, savor a delicious dinner and get a good night's sleep.
Day 7
Lake Manyara National Park
Following breakfast, we'll take a 5-minute drive to the park's entrance. Lake Manyara, often referred to as the realm of tree-climbing lions, is a compact, yet incredibly varied, park. Its most prominent feature is a vast salt lake, ebbing and flowing with the seasons, providing residence to numerous flamingos and more than 300 other bird varieties.
The park's diverse terrain encompasses open grasslands, woodland teeming with primates, and cliffs adorned with iconic baobab trees. We anticipate returning to Arusha by approximately 4:00 pm, though we remain adaptable to accommodate any flight schedules.
